Music a la Mode

I’m sure I am but a whisper in the torrent of outcry of vehement Depeche Mode fans reacting to the tainted review of “Songs of Faith and Devotion” (March 21), but it is only to be expected.

Shame on you, Mike Boehm; your review of Frank Black’s solo foray showed potential of intelligence, but your ignorant attack on Depeche Mode illustrates your immature trappings. Your skewed opinions and genre-swappings only tell us you are abusing your position simply to vent your frustrations; we are not convinced by your ramblings.

Shame on you too, Calendar. You should know by now that you don’t allow a rock fan to review rap, a country fan to review pop or a shallow, pompous journalist to review emotional genius.
