DAYS OF OLD

In my day there was no child care for my daughter while I worked. My husband and I never earned a lot of money but we managed to save a bit here and there. As for my “golden years,†I retired shortly before I turned 65 to care for my husband, who has senile dementia. He is now in a board-and-care facility, which I pay for from Social Security and my pension. We don’t all live in a country club atmosphere, but for those who do, more power to you--you earned it.
