DAYS OF OLD

D’Antonio’s mean-spirited article brought tears to my eyes. As I read it, I had visions of my parents’ struggles during the Depression and World War II. They endured the deaths of brothers, sisters, parents and other loved ones due to inadequate health care and war. They had to stand in bread lines for food for their families. One of my father’s bittersweet memories of the war is that he got three meals a day for the first time in his life.
