UCLA Sets Screenings of Student Works
Gilbert Cates, dean of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, has announced that the public screenings of UCLA Festival ‘93, which showcases new student projects June 12-19, will be dedicated to the memory of alumnus Gary Essert, class of 1964 and founder of the L.A. International Film Exposition and the American Cinematheque. Essert died of AIDS complications in December.
