Three-time Olympian Matt Biondi said that he has retired from competitive swimming.
Biondi has not competed since earning his ninth, 10th, and 11th Olympic medals in Barcelona last summer.
“I lost that killer instinct, that competitive edge,” Biondi said. “I’m tired of swimming and traveling. . . . If I’m swimming, it’s going to be in the ocean on my back, blowing bubbles.”
