NATION IN BRIEF : FLORIDA : Countdown Begins Anew for Shuttle

NASA resumed the countdown Tuesday evening for a scheduled liftoff late tonight of the space shuttle Discovery on a mission to examine Earth’s fragile ozone layer. The mission was aborted 11 seconds before launch Monday night, but engineers have corrected a flaw in computer programming that they think caused the shutdown. The new launch time is 10:29 PDT tonight.
