Countywide : Free Tax Assistance to Be Offered at Mall
Ventura County residents can receive free tax help Saturday at the Esplanade Mall in Oxnard from Internal Revenue Service employees and members of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
Federal and state tax forms, federal extension forms and basic assistance will be available from noon to 6 p.m. in the May Co. court. Residents should bring W-2 or 1099 forms and any forms received from the IRS.
For the truly last-minute filers, more free advice will be dispensed April 15 from 4:30 p.m. until midnight at the IRS office, 2500 Financial Square, Suite 1 in Oxnard.
Besides the events in Oxnard and Ventura, help is available throughout Ventura County for the elderly, low-income residents and the disabled. For information, call 486-4725.
