Acid-Thrower Faces Death

BEIJING — A Chinese court condemned to death a factory chemist who threw acid in his girlfriend’s face when she tried to end their relationship, state television said Saturday.
Li Xinghua horribly defaced his 23-year-old lover with corrosive acid last September when she tried to break up with him, it said.
