Francis A. Martin III, president and chief executive of San Francisco-based NBC affiliate KRON-TV, is leaving the company after 12 years to become a partner in U.S. Media Group, a start-up company formed to develop products in interactive news and information services. Martin, 49, will join former KRON-TV executives Laura Reiman and Brian Schefts. Martin will continue as a director of KRON-TV parent Chronicle Publishing Co.
