Picture this: a spring weekend, the beach, a pier and hundreds of paintings, sculptures, photographs, jewelry and fiber art. Add to that food booths and music, and you have the 4th Annual Redondo Beach Spring Art Show this Saturday and Sunday.
The two-day show is sponsored by the Redondo Beach-Riviera Rotary Club and will feature the
works of about 100 artists from throughout the country. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at Veterans Park next to the Redondo Pier. Admission is free.
Veterans Park sits on a low bluff with a panoramic view of the bay, a good backdrop for the display of the artworks. Among the featured artists will be Tom Sullivan of Manhattan Beach, a yacht builder who also designs and builds chairs.
Sullivan has collected chairs from all over the world and will display some of them at the art show. Like the wares of other artists, some of Sullivan’s chairs will be on sale.
