SEATTLE — Lynn Nance resigned Friday as the basketball coach at the University of Washington.
Nance, 50, stepped down after four seasons at Washington, where he was 50-62. His team was 13-14 overall this season and finished eighth in the Pacific 10 Conference with a 7-11 record.
“I regret my staff and I were unable to win more basketball games during the last four years,” Nance said in a statement. “However, I’m proud of our accomplishments and sincerely believe the Husky basketball program is in much better condition than the one we inherited.”
