VAN NUYS : 3-Year-Old Killed Crossing Intersection

A 3-year-old girl was fatally injured Friday when she was struck by a van while crossing a Van Nuys intersection, Los Angeles police said.
Deborah Rojas of Van Nuys was crossing Saticoy Street with her mother, Veronica Rojas, when they were hit by a van turning onto Saticoy from Densmore Avenue, Sgt. John Amott said. The child died of injuries she suffered in the accident and her mother was treated for cuts and bruises, Amott said.
Scott Kellegrew, 36, of Canoga Park, the driver of the van, was not cited at the scene, Amott said.
