A Pooper-Scooper That’s Raking It In

SEATTLE — A Seattle entrepreneur has scooped out a lucrative niche for himself in the doggie business.
No, he’s not selling pooches. He’s cleaning up after them.
As founder of the Dog Butler--which picks up waste from 500 dogs weekly at 160 homes and kennels--Richard Scott says he took in about $45,000 in his first year.
The Dog Butler charges $21.67 a month for weekly pickups, with additional charges for more than one dog.
Scott, just two years in the business, has visions of national franchising and a chance to retire at 40. He sees himself becoming “the mogul of a pooper-scooping empire.”
