John Candelaria, Pittsburgh Pirate reliever, has been charged with drunk driving after a traffic stop this weekend in Sarasota, Fla., authorities said.
A Breathalyzer test showed his blood-alcohol content “in excess of Florida’s .10 legal limit,” the Florida Highway Patrol said. The police would not release the amount. Candelaria, 39, who pitched for the Dodgers last season, was released on his own recognizance.
