Terrorists set off a bomb on a train bound for the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, killing 13 passengers and injuring 12, officials said. The bomb exploded in a sleeping compartment of the train as it was leaving Gudermes, a village in the Chechnya region of southern Russia, said Chechen government spokesman Movladi Udugov. He gave no indication on the possible identity of the bombers. The blast could be linked to the five-year war between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, a mostly Armenian enclave within Azerbaijan. More than 3,000 people have died in the conflict.
