Don’t Leave Your Hotel Without It

LONDON — An embarrassed businessman who accidentally locked himself out of his hotel room in southwestern England while he was nude used an American Express credit card application to cover up.
British tabloid newspapers said the man grabbed the leaflet from the hotel lobby in Warminster and ran to a nearby pay telephone to dial police.
When they arrived, he was still strategically clutching the application.
“He grabbed the form and reckoned, ‘That’ll do nicely,’ ” a police spokesman said.
American Express showed little surprise. “We always say we cover all eventualities,” the company said.
