William L. Schary has been appointed vice president for regulatory affairs at CoCensys Inc. in Irvine. He will be responsible for human trial and marketing regulatory review. Before joining CoCensys, Schary was vice president of New Drug Services Inc., a contract research firm. Before that he served as director of clinical research and new drug development for International Drug Registration Inc. Schary has also been associate director of clinical research for Eastman Pharmaceuticals, associate director of clinical pharmacology for DuPont and a reviewing pharmacologist with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
