It Hurts When I Wag My Tail

PORT BYRON, Ill. — The sign on the door says Sharon Willoughby practices chiropractic medicine. But the spines that she manipulates belong to animals.
“I’ve been doing this for 10 years now and I’m seeing a big increase in interest by veterinarians,” said Willoughby, a certified veterinarian and chiropractor.
Willoughby has worked with dogs, cats, rabbits . . . even an occasional horse.
“I’ve been called a quack,” she said, running her hands along the back of Rhett, a Welsh corgi that was lame since jumping off a porch.
Rhett’s limp disappeared after a few minutes--a testament to Willoughby’s healing powers.
