Nordstrom Wins Privacy Suit: Nordstrom Inc. won an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit filed by a former employee who claimed managers hid a camera in a storage room used by clerks. A jury in San Jose decided Friday that while Jeannette Fazo apparently expected to have privacy in the room, her expectation was unreasonable. Fazo sued the apparel retailer two years ago after she overheard a supervisor say there was a hidden security camera in a storage room just off the sales floor at Nordstrom’s Valley Fair Shopping Center store. Fazo and some co-workers in the fine jewelry department had been using the room to change clothes and relieve themselves when they couldn’t leave the counter long enough to visit the restroom. The small room contained a sink but no toilet. According to Fazo, employees would urinate in a cup and then pour the contents down the drain.
