GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Gondringer Paces La Quinta in 41-Point Romp Over Los Amigos

Ronnie Gondringer had 22 points and 16 rebounds to lead La Quinta to a 63-22 victory over Los Amigos in a Garden Grove League girls’ basketball game Friday at La Quinta.
Wendy Brannan added 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Aztecs (11-7, 4-6 in league). Linda Rodriguez had 16 points and 12 steals for the Aztecs, who outscored Los Amigos, 27-4, in the second and third quarters.
In other Garden Grove League games:
Santiago 54, Bolsa Grande 27--Yamiala Olmedo had 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead host Santiago (13-5, 6-3). America Robledo added 11 points for the Cavaliers. Bolsa Grande is 3-15, 1-8.
Rancho Alamitos 82, Pacifica 32--Akilah Rodgers and Lisa Inomata each scored 19 points for host Rancho Alamitos (17-4, 9-0).
Timerie James added 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Rodgers had eight rebounds for Rancho Alamitos, which led, 28-6, after the first quarter.
Pilar Surch had 13 points for Pacifica (3-6 in league).
