Highland Park : Protection for Structure
The 70-year-old building that houses Security Pacific’s Highland Park branch was approved for monument status by the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission last week.
The building at 5601 N. Figueroa St. is one of about a dozen similar structures built by the father-and-son architectural team Parkinson & Parkinson for Security Trust and Savings Bank, a precursor to Security Pacific.
