Paje has made 134 three-point baskets in three seasons for Edison, bringing her to within three of the Orange County career record, which was set by Brea-Olinda’s Aimee McDaniel from 1986-90. If this week is anything like the last one for Paje, who made 11 three-pointers in two games, she should break the record tonight against Rosary or Thursday against Santa Ana. Paje set school single-game records for scoring (50 points) and assists (16) in Edison’s 89-87 loss to Huntington Beach Thursday. She made seven three-pointers in the game and has scored 20 points or more in her last five. “We used to call her a streak shooter, but if a bad night is 20 and a good night is 50, then I can handle that,” Edison Coach Phil Abraham said. Paje scored 27 points in a 76-70 loss to Ocean View Tuesday.
Other top performers:
Kim Campbell, who had seven goals in two Canyon soccer victories--three in a 4-0 victory over Foothill and four in a 7-0 victory over Villa Park.
Nicole Erickson, who set a Southern Section and Orange County record by making 11 three-pointers in Brea-Olinda’s 88-38 victory over Savanna. Erickson had 46 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and four steals.
Michelle MacIntyre, who had 22 points in San Clemente’s 54-51 victory over then-No. 7 Mater Dei and 24 in a 59-34 victory over El Toro.
Akilah Rodgers, who scored 24 points in Rancho Alamitos’ 82-68 victory over Santiago and 27 in a 55-18 victory over Los Amigos.
