California Amplifier Buys Part of Antenna Maker
California Amplifier Inc., a maker of telecommunications components, said it has purchased 50% of Micro Pulse Inc., a producer of microwave antennas. Both companies are based in Camarillo.
California Amplifier said Micro Pulse’s main stockholders would receive $100,000 cash and a $400,000 note that’s convertible into California Amplifier’s common stock at $8 a share. The note matures in three years if not converted.
The company also has the option to buy the remaining 50% of Micro Pulse in five years for no more than $8 million. California Amplifier also will become Micro Pulse’s manufacturer, enabling Micro Pulse to focus on product design and marketing.
