A 1-year-old boy was in serious condition Friday night after a shooting along Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles that left three others wounded.
Two men in their 30s suffered critical wounds and one suffered minor wounds, authorities said. Two of the men were taken to County-USC Medical Center and the other was taken to California Medical Center. The child was in serious condition at California Medical Center.
Names of the victims were not released.
Three men, one of them holding the child, were standing at a Skid Row intersection when an argument broke out with a fourth man, who began shooting and then fled, Sgt. David Alvarez said. The wounded men staggered to a nearby hotel, where workers called ambulances.
Police have not released any details about what caused the shooting. But Alvarez said the intersection was in an area where there is frequent narcotics trafficking.
