Baird’s Hiring of Immigrants

Republican Sen. Bob Dole promised to be the old maid aunt at Clinton’s honeymoon. Dole’s Republicans set out to unearth some good dirt on Clinton and his appointees. All they could find is that Baird hired an illegal immigrant (the moral equivalent of a parking ticket). If that is the best of the worst that the Republicans can dredge up against Baird, then let me be the first to nominate her for sainthood.
