There is a popular misconception that Ezra Pound was convicted of treason (see Carolyn Kizer’s review of Gary Snyder’s “No Nature,” Dec. 27) but he was never tried. Instead, he was popped into the loony bin so long that he did become confused.
His mistake was in disagreeing with American foreign policy on Italian radio.
