FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH: South Coast Repertory is letting theater-goers “pay what you will†for today’s matinee, but hope the play’s title is not appropriate: It’s Moliere’s “The Miser.†. . . Repertory spokesman Cristofer Gross says people have paid anywhere from 50 cents to $10 a ticket for a performance since the theater offered the option 2 1/2 years ago, once in each play’s run. You don’t get the best seats, though. Those cost $28.
