Former child actor Todd Bridges pleaded innocent Thursday in Burbank Municipal Court to felony drug and firearm violations.
Bridges, 27, of Sun Valley, who is free on bail, was ordered to return to court Feb. 11 for a preliminary hearing.
If convicted of one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of transporting a controlled substance while armed with a handgun, the onetime co-star of television’s “Diff’rent Strokes” could be sentenced to nine years in prison, officials said.
Police said they found methamphetamine and a loaded 9-millimeter Ruger handgun in Bridges’ car when he was stopped Dec. 29 in Burbank.
Police quoted Bridges, who has a history of drug-related convictions, as saying he had borrowed the car and did not know what was in it.
