Green Burrito to Compensate 29 Workers for Unpaid Overtime

After an investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor, three Green Burrito fast-food Mexican restaurants have consented to give workers a total of nearly $25,000 for unpaid overtime.

The franchiser of the restaurants--4 Amigos in Sunset Beach--agreed in federal court in Los Angeles to pay overtime to 29 employees who did not receive time-and-a-half despite work weeks as long as 76 hours, the Labor Department said Thursday. The payments will range from a few dollars to $5,300.

The Labor Department said the owners of 4 Amigos are Charles R. and Denise Robinson, with an address listed in corporate records as Los Alamitos; and Felix and Georgiana Tulay of Los Alamitos.

The restaurants are on 19th Street in Costa Mesa, Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach and in Lakewood.
