KID STUFF : Getting a Read On Kids’ World View

Kids can learn to like reading, says the creator of Tomorrow’s Morning, a weekly home-delivery newspaper for children.
“It’s like a hit show--if you give them something they can relate to and get excited by, then they’ll stay with it,” says Brentwood entrepreneur Adam Linter.
Using sophisticated color graphics, the four-page paper offers a kid’s-eye view on politics, entertainment, science, the arts and business, including a column on “Kidstocks” that features stock prices for Disney, McDonald’s and Toys R Us.
Since it began in October, 2,000 subscribers have signed up. The paper, which carries no advertising, costs $16.17 for 33 issues.
Linter is also selling corporate sponsorships to send the paper into the schools, where it may compete with the less hip and less expensive Weekly Reader and National Scholastic.
