Madonna No. 1 on Worst-Dressed List

Madonna emerged atop Mr. Blackwell’s 33rd annual Worst-Dressed list Tuesday and was scolded for luring today’s youth toward overexposure.
Blackwell said this year’s list was the most difficult, because fashion has fallen to a new low. “What looks terrible . . . has become fashionable,” he said.
Following Madonna were Geena Davis (described as “Big Bird in heels”), Glenn Close (“Dracula’s Daughter”) and Delta Burke (“Earthquake at the OK Corral”).
Others on the list were Shirley MacLaine (“A carrot-topped tragedy”), Juliette Lewis ( “A corn-row catastrophe above--a bohemian bomb below”), Demi Moore (“Moore is less”), Goldie Hawn (“the goddess of grunge”) and LaToya Jackson (“a hymn to Halloween, 365 nightmares a year”).
Blackwell commended Bette Midler and Marilyn Quayle for improving their wardrobes.
