As part of a move to pull out of some suburban areas, Coldwell Banker has sold two realty offices in the Santa Clarita area and is shutting down a third.
The company’s offices in Valencia and Newhall have been sold to a group of former Coldwell Banker employees, who are doing business under the name The Brittany Group, according to David Loyd, a former employee in the Valencia office who will run the new operation.
The Valencia and Newhall offices will continue to be affiliated with Coldwell Banker, Loyd said, but they will be considered franchises, and will be called Coldwell Banker/The Brittany Group.
The Coldwell Banker office in Canyon Country will be closed, and its business divided between the two offices that were sold, Loyd said.
Coldwell Banker is owned by Sears, Roebuck & Co.
