THOSE PRICEY STYLES?
Why is it that every time the magazine shows clothes or gifts that cost more than $50, the editors feel obliged to apologize by printing such letters as Daniel Mandell’s (Dec. 6). I can’t afford the items pictured either, but I’m bright enough to realize that the items shown are meant to be bought by some and used by others as a guide to what’s new so that they can buy a similar look locally for less money.
Sunday style sections should be a treat, a luxury and an indulgence once in a while. Stop apologizing. There’s room for both the affordable and the fun.
