Double Standard Within the GOP
Twenty years ago, I changed registration from Republican to Democrat. Over the years I have occasionally wondered if the decision was the right one, but the Republicans always come through with more than sufficient reasons.
The latest censure by the Orange County Republican Party of Judge Judy Ryan, for nothing more than having had the guts to run against Orange County Congressman Robert K. Dornan (R-Garden Grove), gives the answer to those who believe that he is just an aberration on the Orange County political scene.
Yes, Judy, there is another party and that party would welcome you and all those who believe like you that Orange County can do better than have a congressman who is the laughingstock of Congress and an embarrassment to our great state.
Just think of it, censured--oh, excuse me, they said “condemned†but didn’t say to what--by the Republican Party because you ran against Dornan.
Y’all come. It is not only OK, it’s an honor to be a Democrat in Orange County.
