Dogs Who Ride Pickup Trucks--to Their Deaths
I am writing this because I’m really angry. I drive a truck for a living, and I am really tired of seeing people’s pets splattered on the San Bernardino Freeway.
I know there must be an ordinance banning unsecured dogs from riding in the back of pickups, but that doesn’t seem to stop some irresponsible owners from doing it anyway. I must see three or four dead dogs on the freeway every day. To see them fall out of some fool’s pickup or worse, jump and get killed, is incredibly upsetting to me and particularly traumatic for a child!
I think it’s time for the Highway Patrol to go on the offensive and crack down on these irresponsible jerks.
There is just no excuse for this carnage and trauma on our freeways to go on.
