Baseball owners have called a special major league meeting for Jan. 12 at Grapevine, Tex., to continue discussions on restructuring and other matters that were interrupted on Dec. 9 when Carl Barger, president of the Florida Marlins, collapsed and eventually died during a major league meeting at Louisville, Ky. The owners could also continue discussions involving Marge Schott, Cincinnati Red owner, and her alleged racial remarks.
