OUTLOOK
With four starters returning from the team that won the Angelus League championship, Santa Margarita figures to be formidable again. But Campbell says the competition the Eagles will face in the Sea View League is much tougher. “In the Angelus League, there were two teams that we had to worry about,†Campbell said. “Now in the Sea View League, we better do some scouting and know what’s going on, or we’re going to get whipped.†Nolan, the Angelus player of the year, averaged 15.2 points and 9.9 rebounds. Moss, the team’s MVP, averaged 10 points and shares point and off guard responsibilities with Keane. Beattie is a rebounding specialist. “It’s going to take us the preseason to get ourselves ready for the league season,†Campbell said. “We still are a fairly young team, and we don’t have a chance to work with each other as much as a lot of the other teams because half of my team plays volleyball. It takes us a while to get everything together, but we all know that we’ll be a different team at the end of the season.â€
