American Mobile Seeks to Set Up Network in Florida
American Mobile Systems Inc., a Woodland Hills provider of mobile radio communications, said it filed an application with the Federal Communications Commission seeking permission to implement a wide-area digital mobile network within Florida.
If the request is granted and if financing is available, the company said it plans to construct a mobile network within Florida using new equipment to enhance its portable and mobile telephone service. American Mobile said its application called for a five-year construction and implementation time.
