Sen. Bob Packwood (R-Ore.) in a statement denied a published accusation by an Oregon woman that he fondled her buttocks at a political party in 1973 when she was 13 years old. “This is an outrageous lie,” the statement said. Tiffany Work, now 32, said in a newspaper interview that Packwood had improperly touched her and two other teen-age girls who had been hired to pass out campaign literature. Packwood has been under fire since the Nov. 22 published claims of 10 women who accused him of sexual harassment. The Senate Ethics Committee has initiated an inquiry.
