Minor Aftershock Hits Big Bear Area
The Big Bear Lake area experienced a minor aftershock of magnitude 3.8 early Sunday morning, but no injuries or damages were reported and many residents did not feel the temblor, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The earthquake struck at 6:21 a.m., six miles north-northeast of Big Bear Lake, Caltech seismologists said. The Sunday temblor and a 5.4 quake that struck Friday in the same area were aftershocks of the stronger Big Bear and Landers earthquakes of last June, they said.
