KUSC LETTERS : Is Love a Threat to Classical-Music Lovers?

“KUSC-FM Caught in Legal Wrangle” explained far more than merely the Deacon lawsuit. It also explained why Grice has been allowed to continue polluting the airwaves with her pointless, inane chatter.
As part of KUSC’s “new sound,” Grice babbles continuously about everything except the music. Her patter includes knock-knock jokes, descriptions of rabbits she saw along the highway during a recent vacation and inconclusive speculations about the favorite music of various performers (without playing the music she cites). In the meantime, she also fails to announce the music being played; apparently she spends so much time talking about everything else that she has no time left to announce the music being featured.
