RENE’S THEME: The St. Joseph Ballet in Santa Ana has commissioned a score from Rene Dupere, resident composer of the Cirque du Soleil, for a new work to premiere in May for the dance company’s 10th anniversary. . . . St. Joseph’s artistic director Beth Burns, who founded the company to offer dance training to inner-city children, says: “Rene is very sensitive to the spirit of children and has a wonderful working rapport with them.”
