The Atlanta Braves released veterans Jeff Treadway and Tommy Gregg, and added to the roster pitchers Donnie Elliott, Brian Bark, Shawn Holman and Michael Potts, outfielders Tony Tarasco and Troy Hughes, second baseman Hector Roa and catcher Tyler Houston. . . . The Florida Marlins sent left-handed pitcher Scott Baker to the Oakland A’s to complete the trade for shortstop Walt Weiss. Oakland also acquired catcher Eric Helfand.
