Taft Pair Advance to Tennis Semifinals

Taft High teammates Brahna Pastorini and Julia Feldman, and El Camino Real’s Amanda Cey posted straight-set victories Friday at The Racquet Centre in Studio City in the City Section individual quarterfinals.

Top-seeded Pastorini posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Erin Saltzman of Birmingham, and Cey upset Heather Zand of Palisades, 6-2, 6-0, to set up a semifinal match Monday. Feldman beat Michele Hirshman of Chatsworth, 6-0, 6-3.

Taft’s doubles team of Astra Ramyead and Alicia Whelan topped Tammy Tenudech and Dana Chuentongkam of Kennedy, 6-3, 6-2. Loreli Lew and Maggie Daniele of Chatsworth beat Carolyn Lee and Jennie Wilson of Palisades, 6-3, 6-2.
