Countywide : Gallegly to Move Office to Oxnard
Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) said Thursday that he will move his business office from Thousand Oaks to Oxnard early next year to be closer to more of his constituents in the newly formed 23rd Congressional District.
Gallegly’s current office at 200 N. Westlake Blvd. will be closed in early January, he said, and the staff of four will move into the Union Bank building at 300 Esplanade Drive in Oxnard.
While he had been representing primarily eastern Ventura County in his first three terms, Gallegly now will serve constituents in Carpinteria and all of Ventura County except most of Thousand Oaks. He said the western expansion of his service area prompted the move.
Gallegly said more than 95% of his constituent service is handled over the phone or through the mail. In another effort to keep in touch, the congressman said he will continue the toll-free number he installed shortly after he was first elected in 1986. The number is (800) 992-8886.
