Monterey Park : Crime Club Enrollment
More than 40 children have signed up for the Junior Crime Watchers Club, sponsored by the Police Department and Boys’ and Girls’ Club, officials said.
Junior crime watchers learn how to report crimes and how to keep themselves and their homes safe. In the seven-week program, members take classes such as “Introduction to Safety and Crime,†“Drugs and Gangs†and “Pedestrian, Bicycle and Vehicle Safety.â€
The classes are free to third- through fifth-grade students who belong to the Boys’ and Girls’ Club. Information: (818) 573-2831.
