Trio-Tech Reports $50,000 1st-Quarter Profit
Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando maker of semiconductor testing equipment, reported a $50,000 profit for its fiscal first quarter that ended Sept. 25, up from $3,000 a year earlier.
The higher earnings came on a 4% increase in Trio-Tech’s revenue, to $4.12 million from $3.96 million. The company said the gains reflected higher revenue from its Singapore unit and improved efficiencies in its U. S. operations.
Trio-Tech simultaneously announced results for its fiscal year that ended June 26. The company lost $876,000 on revenue of $14.9 million, contrasted with a loss of $871,000 the prior year on revenue of $14.3 million.
