Glendale Overpowers Harbor, 37-10
Glendale College scored 27 points in the second quarter and coasted to a 37-10 victory over host Harbor Saturday night in a Western State Conference Northern Division game.
The Vaqueros improved to 8-1, 7-1 in conference play and 4-0 in the division. Harbor, which started the season 6-0, dropped to 6-3, 5-3 and 1-3.
Glendale quarterback Eric Kiesau, who entered the game as the conference’s second-leading passer, completed 16 of 25 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns. Kiesau burned the Harbor secondary for 150 of the Vaqueros’ 177 passing yards in the second quarter and the Seahawks never recovered.
Harbor running back Troy Cain broke a 3-3 tie with a six-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter. But Glendale scored four unanswered touchdowns before halftime to take a comfortable 30-10 lead at the break.
