Shelton Leads Cypress in Basketball Opener

Robbie Shelton scored 26 points to help the Cypress men’s basketball team to a 77-59 victory over Chaffey in the first round of the Barstow tournament Thursday.

Shelton, a 6-foot-7 forward and former Western High standout, had five rebounds, and Gary Gibbs had 14 points, seven assists and seven steals for the Chargers (1-0).
