Murphy 37, St. Genevieve 14--Gibbon St. Paul scored three touchdowns and the Knights survived 17 penalties at Birmingham High to keep St. Genevieve winless.
St. Paul recovered quarterback Alex Muller’s fumble at the goal line and returned it 100 yards in the first quarter. St. Paul dashed 94 yards on a kickoff return in the second quarter and caught a 20-yard scoring pass late in the third quarter.
Muller completed 12 of 20 for 160 yards and scored from one yard late in the fourth quarter. The Valiants (0-9, 0-4) have lost 22 games in a row.
